Holiday World plans another big water ride
Wednesday is the 65th anniversary of Holiday World, which began as Santa Claus Land in Santa Claus, Indiana in the southwestern part of the Hoosier state. Santa Claus, Indiana (WDRB) -- It's the largest investment in a new ride in Holiday World's long history. The southern Indiana amusement park will spend $9 million on a new water ride. Leah Koch, a fourth generation member of the Koch family who works at the park, showed us where in the water park the new ride will go. "It will be out in the woods, it's going to dwarf the Wildebeest, I cannot express just how much," says Leah. The Mammoth Water Coaster is billed as the world's longest water coaster.
