Phone Bill Auditing Can Save Serious Money

Phone bill auditing was a cottage industry when I was working in it. I met others who audited freight bills, utilities and many other expenses. Twenty-five years ago, I was in the business of auditing phone bills for many companies and saving them hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. Today, the utility and phone bill auditing business is even more important, but it's completely different. I felt like Santa Claus and had lots of happy clients. There are large auditing firms that specialize in helping large corporations manage expenses, reduce costs and get refunds. There are also quite a few very small auditing firms that still help the small and mid-sized market. Main event attracts all types

LAS VEGAS -- While the nature of poker tournament coverage is to focus on the survivors, we wouldn't be painting a full picture of the 2011 main event if we didn't tell you about Tom Oldcroft, a 60-year bill collector who went out 128th on Day 6,... "I had to play 21 hands of blackjack for $5 a hand on Bodog to get a ticket into a freeroll to the main event," remembered the gentle giant, who seemingly had a smile painted on his rosy face for the last week. A survivor of both prostate cancer and a quadruple bypass, Oldcroft's odyssey to and through the main event was a remarkable one, as was his means of qualification. "I lost $2 playing those hands. I got into the freeroll, there were 283 people in it. At one point, I was in 36th with 40 players left. Oldcroft is a man living on borrowed time in multiple ways.
