I’ve put together this evening of Michaelangelo sonnets, set to music: seven by Britten, eleven by Shostakovich, three by Wolf. Though Sarastro should act as a sort of counterbalance. I’ve done it twice before – at the Semperoper Dresden and St John’s, Smith Square – and I’m doing another five now. David Owen Norris accompanies me. Saint Nicholas - A Story of Joyful Giving The group of veggie kids runs into Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber setting up some Christmas decorations. VeggieTales Version of Saint Nicholas' Story Bob and Larry transport us from snowy streets to sunny Greece, where we meet a young pepper named Nick. Then Nick moves to the north pole, gets some reindeers and elves and flies around the world giving toys to all of the good girls and boys. What they will do is introduce a little reality into the mythical jolly old elf who delivers toys to the good girls and boys of the world. In his grief, young Nick strikes out to bury memories. Ok, maybe not, but Nick does return home and puts to use hat he has learned. Veggietales is finally going to tell us the truth about Santa. Appalled at the children's selfish attitudes, the dynamic vegetable duo proceed to tell them the tale of their hero, veggie style. Nick is a self absorbed guy like most his age. From her he learns the important lesson......
